LucidPath Privacy Policy

LucidPath is developed by Avunia. The app works without a LucidPath account, and your dream journal is stored on your device. This policy explains how the LucidPath app and website handle information.

Information stored on your device

Dream entries, titles, tags, recall and lucidity ratings, reality-check logs, technique sessions, course progress, reminder preferences, and app settings are stored locally using Apple platform storage. We do not operate a journal server and do not receive your dream text, titles, tags, or exported journal files.

Speech recognition and microphone access

Dream dictation is optional. If you use it, LucidPath requests microphone and speech-recognition permission and configures Apple's speech framework to require on-device recognition. LucidPath does not retain the microphone recording or send the recording or transcript to an Avunia server. Availability depends on Apple's operating system, language, device support, and permission settings. You can always type an entry instead.

Notifications

If you grant permission, morning journal, reality-check, path, and optional wake-back-to-bed reminders are scheduled through Apple's local notification system. Notification text does not contain dream journal content. You can change notification permission in iOS Settings and disable reminder categories inside LucidPath.

Subscriptions and purchase data

Apple processes App Store billing and payment details. LucidPath uses RevenueCat to load subscription offerings, validate entitlement status, and restore purchases. For those purposes, RevenueCat may process an anonymous app user identifier, app and device technical information, and purchase, receipt, transaction, product, and entitlement information. We do not send dream journal content to RevenueCat and do not receive your full payment-card information. RevenueCat's handling of this information is described in its privacy policy.

Analytics, advertising, and tracking

The current app does not send usage events to a remote analytics vendor. It does not include advertising, cross-app tracking, or access to an advertising identifier. The anonymous-usage preference is off by default and does not transmit events in the current release. We do not sell personal information or share it for targeted advertising.

Website data

The LucidPath website does not provide accounts, accept journal entries, or use advertising cookies. The hosting and network providers that deliver and protect the site may process standard request information such as an IP address, browser type, requested page, and timestamp in ordinary server logs.

Exports, backups, retention, and deletion

You can export your journal as Markdown or JSON. An exported file is handled by the destination you choose. You can delete individual entries in LucidPath. Deleting the app removes its local data from the device, subject to Apple's backup and restore behavior. Purchase records may remain with Apple and RevenueCat for transaction support, legal compliance, fraud prevention, and purchase restoration under their respective retention practices.

Service providers and international processing

Apple and RevenueCat process the limited information described above to provide platform, payment, and subscription services. Depending on where you live, their processing may occur in other countries under their applicable safeguards and policies.

Your choices and rights

You can decline microphone, speech-recognition, and notification permissions and continue using the app's core journal features. You control local journal content from the app and device. Depending on your location, you may also have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, or portability for personal information we control. Because LucidPath has no account and does not receive your journal, we may be unable to identify or retrieve device-only content.

Children and sensitive use

LucidPath is a general educational tool, not medical care. It is not designed to collect information directly from children through an account or online journal. Parents and guardians should supervise use by minors as required by local law. Avoid recording information you do not want stored on your device.

Security

We minimize remote data collection and rely on Apple's app sandbox and platform protections for local data. No storage method is completely secure, so protect your device with an appropriate passcode and keep its operating system current.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the app, website, service providers, or legal requirements change. The current version and effective date will remain available on this page.
