LucidPath Terms of Use
These Terms of Use govern your use of the LucidPath mobile application, website, content, and related services provided by Avunia. By downloading, purchasing, or using LucidPath, you agree to these terms.
Eligibility and acceptance
You may use LucidPath only if you can legally agree to these terms in your location. If you use the app on behalf of an organization or allow a minor to use it, you are responsible for that use and for complying with applicable law. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use LucidPath.
Educational purpose only
LucidPath provides educational information and self-guided practices related to dream recall, reality checks, lucid-dream techniques, and sleep-aware habit building. It is not medical care, mental-health care, diagnosis, treatment, emergency support, or a substitute for advice from a qualified professional.
Use responsibly and protect your sleep
Lucid-dream practices can interrupt sleep or cause discomfort for some people. Wake-back-to-bed and other night techniques are optional. Do not use a practice when it would be unsafe to lose sleep, including before driving or safety-critical work. Stop or reduce practice if you experience persistent sleep loss, anxiety, distress, confusion, impaired daytime functioning, or other unwanted effects, and seek appropriate professional advice when needed.
No promised outcome
Dream recall and lucid dreaming vary substantially between people and over time. LucidPath does not promise that you will remember a dream, become lucid, control a dream, improve sleep, or achieve any specific result. Course progress, streaks, reminders, statistics, and estimated practice feedback measure app activity, not medical outcomes or guaranteed effectiveness.
Your journal and exports
You retain responsibility for the dream entries and other content you create. Journal content is stored locally, and you are responsible for protecting your device and maintaining any exports or backups you want to keep. Do not use LucidPath to store content that is unlawful or that violates another person's rights.
License and acceptable use
Subject to these terms and the applicable App Store rules, Avunia grants you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use LucidPath on Apple devices you own or control. You may not copy, sell, rent, sublicense, reverse engineer, interfere with, misuse, or attempt unauthorized access to the app or its services except where applicable law expressly permits it.
Subscriptions and billing
LucidPath may offer auto-renewable subscriptions that unlock Pro features. Prices, billing periods, trial terms, and included features are shown in the App Store purchase flow before confirmation. Payment is charged to your Apple Account. Unless canceled, a subscription renews automatically under the terms shown by Apple. You can manage or cancel it in your Apple Account subscription settings. Deleting LucidPath does not cancel a subscription.
Apple processes payments, refunds, billing disputes, and subscription management under its policies. Where applicable, you may use Restore Purchases to recover an active entitlement associated with your Apple Account. Free features may remain available after cancellation, while paid features may relock when the paid entitlement ends.
Apple terms
Your use of the iOS app is also subject to Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement and applicable App Store terms. If these Terms conflict with mandatory Apple terms regarding the licensed application, the mandatory Apple terms control to that extent.
Third-party services
LucidPath relies on Apple platform services and RevenueCat subscription infrastructure. Those third parties may apply their own terms and policies. We are not responsible for third-party services, account access, outages, payment decisions, or changes outside our control.
Intellectual property
LucidPath, its software, design, branding, curriculum, text, graphics, and other provided content are owned by Avunia or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. These terms do not transfer ownership to you.
Availability and changes
We may update, add, remove, suspend, or discontinue features to maintain, secure, or improve LucidPath or comply with platform and legal requirements. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free availability, compatibility with every device, delivery of every notification, or permanent availability of any feature.
Disclaimers
To the maximum extent permitted by law, LucidPath is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, availability, or results. Nothing in these terms excludes warranties or consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Avunia will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages; loss of data, sleep, opportunity, revenue, or profits; or harm arising from reliance on educational content, optional sleep-interruption practices, notifications, third-party services, or inability to use LucidPath. Liability that cannot legally be excluded remains limited only to the extent allowed by applicable law.
Suspension and termination
You may stop using LucidPath at any time. We may suspend or terminate access to services if necessary to protect users, comply with law, address misuse, or protect the app and its providers. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination—including intellectual property, disclaimers, and liability limitations—will continue to apply.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms when LucidPath, our business, platform requirements, or applicable law changes. The current version and effective date will remain available on this page. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms where permitted by law.
Applicable law
These terms are governed by applicable law without limiting any mandatory consumer protections available where you live. Any dispute must be brought in a court with lawful jurisdiction unless applicable law provides another required process.
